Overview
For the second leg of our time with the APU team, we spent time in Jefferys Bay. Christian Surfers Internal hosted us and we partnered with them through their leadership program, called CSALT (Christian Surfers Advanced Leadership Training).
We volunteered with an initiative called The Recycle Project. This fantastic initiative is based in the township called Pellsrus. Children from the community collect recyclable materials and bring them to be converted into a currency they then use to purchase food, clothing, school supplies and toys.
We were introduced to other ministries such as Aleph Surf, Timion (who works with marginalized children with disabilities), and Global Leadership Academy.
Lastly, we attended a Youth Day event and the Christian Surfers Africa Annual conference.
